Sabrina Gruenbauer - Off-Site Connections Event Solutions
Thank you for all your hardwork with the recent group to Noumea. Everyone was so thrilled of their time in New Caledonia and what they experienced along the way. Some of the guests have described their experiences as ‘once in a lifetime’. To see some of the reactions and stories told afterwards of amazement is testimony to the effort and attention to detail you and the team have put in. Some of the highlights would definitely include the conference ambush and the gangster choreography. A great job – thank you. It was a pleasure working with you again, thank you for all your efforts with this group. I look forward to working with you again very soon.

Although being only 2.5 hours from Sydney, New Caledonia provides an outstandingly beautiful and different destination. We have achieved great success with our incentive programs and food and wine tours. When compared with other South Pacific destinations the unique offer of New Caledonia, is of a cultural nature – it’s superb Frenchness!
Client required high end incentive program with WOW nonstop program over three days incorporating local culture, entertainers, comedians and actors throughout the programme with top end venues and over the top wows.
The client and DMC worked together to create the below 3 day program for the 65 guests.
Day 1 – Arrival at airport with meet and greet. Guided transfer to Noumea with Military stop with actors dressed up as military personnel, dogs, tanks and clients sampling the French cuisine of snails and frogs legs.
Stop at lookout with set up of drinks and French sandwiches. Queue in another acting scene. The guide has an argument with a grumpy driver who has a tantrum and drives off with the entire luggage! Guide is totally over the top and everybody is confused. The luggage is dropped off at the hotel whilst the clients enjoy lunch. A Tchou Tchou Train pulls up with French Can Can Girls and drives them to the beach at Le Merdien Noumea for check-in.
Guests enjoy beach activities including stand up paddles, jet skis, tubing, canoes and other water sport equipment.
Dinner is at the beach front restaurant with the client General Manager arriving by outrigger canoe with beautiful Tahitian women. The guests enjoy a crab race and a fun caricaturist has drawn a picture of each guest prior to their dinner arrival using photos provided by the client before their arrival in New Caledonia.
Day 2 – Conference During the half day conference a comedian interrupts with a boring French lesson and ends up dancing and singing French songs, followed by a professional wax of two men that the client General Manager selected in advance.
In the afternoon an Amazing Race program to discover Noumea is conducted with fun activities including petanque, wobbly waiter on segways, hobby cats, archery, blind wine tasting, photo challenge and awards are given in a private pub venue with champagne and gifts for the winning team.
Dinner is at a beautiful historical venue with themed casino cabaret and casino set up. The client General Manager arrives in a vintage Citroen car dating back to 1928 and comedians and entertainment flows throughout the event.
Day 3 – Group activities Half day at a private island with lunch and Polynesian show, massage therapist, water sport equipment including canoes.
Afternoon is spent at a private race course for go karting. Dinner is at a private islet with Fantasy Island theme, show with fire jugglers, Hawaiian Island dancers and the final wow factor of a fireworks display.
A photographer was with the client throughout the trip to capture the overall experience of the incentive program in New Caledonia. The DMC ensured the program included enhancements on the active fun, wow factors and local cultures.
