Chai de l'Hippodrome
Chai de l’Hippodrome is a funky, eclectic French bar and restaurant in the Anse Vata Bay area of Noumea. The entire facility can be hired for cocktails and dinners or sections for smaller groups. For smaller groups they also offer wine and champagne tasting courses, wine & cheese matching, a mixology workshop and cooking classes with their chef.
Chateau Hagen is an architecturally beautiful castle in the city of Noumea dating back to the early 1800’s. The castle and unique ornamental gardens have now become an artistic and cultural space for art shows, exhibitions, film screenings, dance performances, theatre and concerts. This historic venue is available for groups for cocktails, lunches, dinners.
Creipac is the French language school approximately 10 minutes from the centre of Noumea or 20 minutes from Anse Vata Bay. This historical site dates back to 1864 when the first convicts from France were transported to New Caledonia and set up camp in this area. Since 1973 the buildings of the prison have classified as monuments of historical interest and can be enjoyed by the public including functions for groups.
Duck Island (Ile Aux Canards)
Duck Island (Ile aux Canards) is a small island located in Anse Vata Bay, a quick 5-minute boat ride from Noumea. The island is a special nature reserve, home to rich marine populations which you can enjoy on a special underwater trail, fully marked for snorkellers. Exclusive hire of the island is an option and it is equipped with a large Melanesian-style hut with a restaurant and bar. Deckchairs, pedal boats, canoes and snorkelling equipment is available.
Kuendu Beach is a sheltered and relaxing beach area only 15 minutes drive from the centre of Noumea or 25 minutes from Anse Vata Bay. L'Endroit The Rooftop
This is a relatively new and trendy space on the top floor of the MV Lounge in Lemon Bay. It provides an intimate, cosy and contemporary atmosphere for small cocktail parties and dinners with the best view across the lagoon.
Maison Celieres is one of several French mansions dotted in and around the city of Noumea, but only a few are open to the public. 1881 Restaurant is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the centre of Noumea or 20 minutes from the Anse Vata Bay, next door to Creipac French language school. It’s quite a unique setting and combines a restaurant, bar, lounge and events space overlooking the ocean. This is a historic convict area and the original jetty house dates back to 1881 when it was the home of a naval officer.

The 3 Brasseurs is the only artisanal brewery in New Caledonia and all blond, brown, white or amber ales are brewed on site. The brewery is conveniently located in Lemon Bay next to Anse Vata Bay and can be booked as a whole facility or smaller sections for smaller groups.
